The TY students have been working very hard on two projects. The first is on Energy Conservation with Mr O Brien and the second is the Upcycled Polytunnel with Ms Clune. Both projects entered the Eco Unesco National awards competition. The Leinster round of the competition was held in European Union House. This was a Dragon’s Den style presentation called Eco Dens and both groups were lucky enough to be shortlisted for the National finals. Both groups attended the finals which included a show case of projects for the public, a visit from the judges and an overall presentation. The Energy Conservation Project with Mr O’Brien won the first place prize on the day. Well done to all involved.
