Annual General Meeting            

The Parents Association AGM will take place on Monday 9th October in the school. Any parent/guardian who wishes to put forward a formal motion at the AGM should write to the Secretary of the Parents Association (c/o St. Mac Dara’s Community College) no later than Monday 2nd October. The motion must be clearly signed.

At the end of the AGM there will be a talk by Sean Fallon on ‘Dealing with Bullying including Cyberbullying’

Personal Accident Insurance for School Pupils

The Parents Association administer a school insurance scheme through Brennan Insurance. All parents/guardians should have received information about this, including the insurance form, which must be returned to the school together with the payment by Monday 10th October. Payment and forms will also be collected at the AGM on the Monday evening.
Parent Association Membership Voluntary Subscription

All parents in the school are automatically members of the Parents Association. The PA committee run a number of fund-raisers during the year, and one of these is an invitation to parents to pay a voluntary membership fee of €12 per family. Any funds raised through this go directly towards the school. In the recent past these funds have been used to contribute to sports and music equipment, new chairs for the canteen, stage curtains and a calculator invigorator for white boards. We have also recently covered training and maintenance costs associated with the two school defibrillators. Thanks so much to all those who have contributed in the past. The membership fee can be returned with the insurance items, and is also due by Monday 9th October.
