New School App
St. Mac Dara’s Community College is delighted to announce the launch of our new School App, developed in partnership with Unique Schools.
This App will serve as the official communication platform for all current parents — a single, convenient hub for everything school-related. Through the App, you’ll view attendance notifications, receive instant updates and access digital forms.
The new platform is designed to make communication more efficient and convenient for parents/guardians, reducing the need for paper notes or multiple communication channels. It will also help enhance accountability and accuracy, particularly in areas such as attendance tracking, ensuring that both parents and the school have real-time, reliable information.
🔔 Key Features
1. Communications
All school news, important updates, notifications, calendars, and personal messages will now be delivered directly through the App — ensuring you never miss an important notice again.
2. One-Tap Access to VSware
The school will continue to use VSWare. You can quickly access your child’s VSware account straight from the App Home Menu. Setup details are available in the App’s Notifications section.
3. Absence Notifications – Starting November 5th
If your child is absent from school then you’ll automatically receive a notification of this absence by 10 a.m. You can reply instantly within the App to give the reason — no calls or notes needed.
4. Attendance Notes – Starting November 5th
From November 5th, all Attendance Notes (Absence, Late, or Permission to Leave) must be submitted via the App before 8:30 a.m. This ensures our staff can process them promptly.
5. Forms & Permission Slips
All consent forms and approvals will now be completed digitally and securely in the App.

To get started, download the App for free on both Apple App Store or Google Play (links below).
When prompted, register using your mobile number. Please ensure that the school has up-to-date mobile numbers for both parents/guardians so that you can access the App without issue. The parental version of the app should not be accessed by students at any point.
