At under 13 Niamh took the singles, then teamed with partners to take the girls double and mixed doubles. Mark matched his sister at the under 15 category by winning the singles and doubles titles and then teamed up with sister Niamh to take the under 15 mixed title, which gave Niamh her fourth win of the Championship.
Mark and Niamh hail from a badminton family background and we are sure their parents are delighted with their recent success especially after the hard work they put in over recent months with their coach.
In 2014 Mark and Niamh’s attention is now on their respective National Championships coming up over the next two months and making the Leinster and Irish teams competing in the Interprovincials, Celtic Challenge and Quadrangular competitions. Mark will also be representing the school in the Dublin finals on 30th January in Whitehall Road. We wish both Niamh and Mark every success this year!
