These took place on Tuesday. Thank you to all of the fifth year students who volunteered to help with the smooth running of the event. It is greatly appreciated.

This is up and running at lunchtimes in the Library. Thank you to our 20 highly enthusiastic 5th Year students who are reading with our first year students.

History Association

History Association members thoroughly enjoyed viewing the Michael Collins film at lunchtime over the last week. New association members are always welcome and further film viewings will be arranged in the coming weeks.

Christmas Exams will take place in the first week of December. First Year Exams will take place in the canteen with all other years doing their exams within class time. All students are encouraged to create and follow their study plan.

School Bank is open every Thursday at lunch time in the Library. Students can sign up for a new account at this time.

Cricket Ireland

Naomi from Cricket Ireland will be in the school for the next few weeks delivering lessons in the basics of Cricket to our Junior Cycle PE Classes. We are sure our students will be bowled over by this great opportunity.

Soccer

Well done to the 2nd Year soccer squad who qualified for the next round of the Leinster Cup with a 5-3 win over St Joseph’s of Fairview. Conor O’Toole scored 4 goals to top off a hard working team display. Best wishes to team Captain Aaron O’Reilly who recently broke his arm. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Gaelic Football

The Boys Under 14 Gaelic Football Team have qualified for the Championship Semi Final where they will play the winners of Lucan C.C and Col Choilm.

The Boys Under 16 and Under 18 Teams both had wins over the last week against Old Bawn and Oatlands respectively.

Craig McMahon and Michael O’Keefe both gave outstanding displays for the Under 16 team with Kevin Lahiff and Rian Fitzsimons both in fine form for the Under 18 team. The Under 18 team play their next game against CP Setanta on Friday.

The Under 18 girls exited the competition after a close defeat against Lucan last Thursday. They gave a very spirited display and were very unlucky to lose out in a close defeat.

Dates to Note:
