Gaelic Football

There is a strong tradition of Gaelic Football in St Mac Dara’s. Over the years the College has won many Dublin and Leinster Colleges Titles in both Boys and Girls competitions. The main emphasis in training and matches is however always on participation and player enjoyment.

Training for all Gaelic Football teams has commenced for the 2018/19 season.  As ever huge numbers are participating with over 150 students currently playing for one of the college’s seven teams;

Boys U14, U16, U18 & First Years and Girls U14, U16 and U18.

Training for Boys teams generally takes place on a Monday (U14) or Wednesday (U16 & U18) and the Girls teams generally train on a Monday after school. Training days may be subject to change due to staff meetings or matches.

New players are always welcome and any boys or girls who wish to start playing should see Ms Brennan, Mr O’Brien, Mr O’Riordain, Mr Burke or Miss Brennnan. You will find any website news related to the Gaelic Football team in the blog posts below.
